The Atlanta Braves will travel to Chase Field for a 3 game set against the Arizona Diamondbacks. These two just played each other 10 days ago in a 3 game set in Atlanta, with the Braves sweeping the Diamondbacks 3-0.

Braves Play Strong Against NL West Division

The Atlanta Braves are in the midst of an 11 game road trip. They are coming off a 4 game series against the best team in the National League, the LA Dodgers, where they split the 4 games 2-2.

The Braves are now 47-49 and are in 2nd place in the National League East Division. They are 11 games back of the Washington Nationals and have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Braves have played very well against teams from the NL West Division, going 14-6 in their 20 games this year against teams from that division.

Diamondbacks Want Revenge For Getting Swept Last Time By Braves

The Arizona Diamondbacks are 10.5 games back of the NL West Division leading LA Dodgers. The Diamondbacks are 56-41 and currently in 3rd place in the division. They were in second place but the perfect storm struck and they have fell to third place.

The Diamondbacks have gone 3-7 in the last 10 games, while the Colorado Rockies have gone 7-3 to pass them for 2nd place. The bad part for both of them is the LA Dodgers have gone 8-2 and are one of the hottest teams in all of baseball! Time is of the essence and the Diamondbacks need to get rolling, gaining ground on the Dodgers if they want a chance at the postseason.

D-Backs Get 1st Win Over Braves This Year

Zack Greinke will get the start for the Diamondbacks. In his last 5 starts, he has gone 3-1-1 and is getting back to his old ways of overwhelming hitters by striking out a high volume of batters while walking out a very few. He will face R.A. Dickey, who faced the Diamondbacks in the last series. In that game, he allowed 8 hits but the D-Backs struggled with getting runners across home plate. I think this game will be different and I am looking for a dominating performance by the D-Backs.

Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks -183 for 2 Units
