Coastal’s profile so far is a little “anything can happen.” They’re scoring 75.1 PPG but allowing 71.5 PPG, with a 41.1% team FG mark. That combination often creates games that look like they should be higher-scoring… until Coastal hits one of its cold stretches.

Individually, Kasen Jennings is the headliner at 15.5 PPG and is also a disruptive defender (1.1 SPG). App also has interior stability through Luke Wilson (team-best 6.1 RPG, 1.8 BPG). And they have a real table-setter in Alonzo Dodd at 3.4 APG.

One stat that jumps off App’s team sheet: they’re holding opponents to 38.5% FG while shooting 45.8% FG themselves. That’s a classic “good bet” backbone—forcing misses, avoiding droughts, and letting defense create easier offense.

1) Shot quality vs. shot-making

Coastal can absolutely score, but App is built to make you work. If you’re considering a Coastal ticket, you’re basically betting that Beadle, Dancler, and Jones hit enough perimeter shots early to keep App from setting its defense and controlling tempo.

2) Rim protection + rebounds = fewer freebies

App’s edge in blocks and defensive numbers (Wilson especially) is one of those things that doesn’t always show up in a pregame spread… until Coastal misses a couple bunnies and suddenly the game feels like it’s being played uphill.
