The Tennessee Volunteers will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Monday Night Football! The game will start at 8:00 PM ET and can be seen on ESPN.
Volunteers Have New OffenseThe Tennessee Volunteers went 9-4 last season and played in the postseason, where they won the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl 38-24 over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. They will put a completely new offensive unit on the field on Monday Night.
They have a new quarterback, a new running back and new wide receivers. The Vols are expected to start Junior Quinten Dormady but some suspect that redshirt freshman Jarrett Guaratano could get a significant amount of snaps under center. John Kelly will take over the role of RB left open by the departure of Alvin Kamara. Kelly should be able to rip off some big yardage as Georgia Tech’s defense is expected to be once again very bad! The Volunteers announced Wednesday that they will be without offensive tackle Drew Richmond and Darrin Kirkland Jr for their opener on Monday Night. Richmond was suspended for violating team rules and Kirkland had surgery on his knee for a meniscus tear. The Vols are 8-0 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 season openers.
