Jamaica will matchup with Curacao on Sunday evening in CONCACAF Gold Cup. These two played each other last month in the Caribbean Cup, with Curacao winning in the finals 2-1. That was the first win in a Caribbean Cup for the Curacao team.

Jamaica Looking To Avenge Last Month’s Caribbean Cup Loss

Jamaica is currently ranked 79th in the world by FIFA World Ranking.  Jamaica earned a qualifying spot in the Gold Cup by making the Caribbean Cup Finals last month.  This will be the 10th time Jamaica has played in the Gold Cup.

They will be looking to avenge their loss last month against this Curacao team when they take the field on Sunday night. Jamaica will be without a few feature pieces of their puzzle as Wes Morgan and Adrian Mariappa will not be added to the roster until the knockout stages.

Curacao Happy To Be In 1st Ever Gold Cup

Curacao will be appearing in their first ever Gold Cup after winning the Caribbean Cup last month. They are currently ranked 70th in the world by FIFA. Curacao was formerly part of the Netherlands Antilles and finished 3rd in 1963 and against in 1969.

Remko Bicentini is the new head coach of Curacao after taking over the helm from former legend Patrick Kluivert. Bicentini is hoping that Curacao’s Caribbean Cup star Elson Hooi has another great series in the gold cup. Hooi scored 2 goals in the last match with Jamaica and will most likely have a lot of defenders on him throughout the game.

Curacao Makes It Two In A Row Against Jamaica

This is an extremely close game to pick and literally you can flip a coin to find a winner.  You can make an argument for Jamaica and you can make argument for Curacao.  Last month, Curacao won 2-1 but they could've won by more had a few things gone their way.  With winning in such a close game last time and following it up with motivation of playing in their first Gold Cup, plus the fact that Jamaica is missing a few guys from the starting line, I will take Curacao to win this game in a very close, low scoring game.

Pick: Curacao +214 for 2 Units
