USA will take on Panama on Saturday evening in Nashville, Tennessee. Team USA holds a 11-1-5 advantage over Panama. USA will have a major advantage over the Panama team as they will be playing on their home soil and are a much more experienced team. The last time Panama and USA played each other, back in March 2017, the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Panama Hope To Take Spot In World Cup With Win Over USA
Panama will be coming into this match with some extra motivation. They went to a 2-2 draw against Honduras in the World Cup Qualifying match and will now turn their focus on the CONCACAF Gold Cup. That draw was their 4th draw in 6 games.
Panama is currently 4th in the World Cup qualification group and are only 1 point behind the team they will stand across from, Team USA. They have made the semifinals in each of the last 3 Gold Cups. Team USA will have their hands full with trying to score points as they will be shooting on the Golden Glove Award Winner from last year in Jose Calderon.
USA Inexperienced But Still Motivated
The USA men’s national soccer team is undefeated under new coach Bruce Arena. Arena took over the team in November and since that time, the USA team has gone 4-0-4. Team USA will be looking to secure its sixth confederation championship title.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup is not even a year away and many of the players from Team USA will be using this is sort of a try-out for a spot on the team. With that being said, Coach Arena has given several guys a break from the Gold Cup and will go with the younger team starting tomorrow night. Christian Pulisic, Bobby Wood, Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, Michael Bradley, Geoff Cameron and Jozy Altidore will all miss the Gold Cup but the US Team still has a ton of talent on the squad.
The USA will have a big showing from Forward Jordan Morris. Morris plays for the Seattle Sounders FC of MLS. Morris won a MLS Cup Title with the Sounders and also has a national title under his belt from his 2015 college National Championship with the Stanford Cardinals.
Team USA Wins In Nashville!
I’ve read tons are experts saying that the US Team is missing key players, US Team is looking at the World Cup and not really concerned with CONCACAF Gold Cup, yadda yadda yadda! Team USA will NOT T lose this game on their home turf! They will win here and give their fans some hope for the future.
Pick: USA -135 for 5 Units
