Notes for Friday, April 26, 2019
Few things to cover first before getting into our lineup tips. Check the weather today as there are several games that could be affected by rain. Those games include but are not limited to:
- Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies
- Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets
- San Diego Padres vs. Washington Nationals
Of all those games, I highly doubt that they will get the Phillies game in but like I said, monitor the situation.
As far as stacks go today, I like Minnesota Twins a lot and some of the Toronto Blue Jays. We have Vlad Guerrero Jr making his MLB debut today and we also have Carter Kieboom making his MLB debut for the Nationals, so plan accordingly on how you think these guys will do. They are the future of baseball and should be interesting to follow their careers. Now, without any further delay, lets jump in and find us some players to win a big GPP!
|James Paxton (NY Yankees)||It is definitely hard to not like Paxton here. He is playing in Pitcher friendly park in SF, is playing one of the worst offenses in the league and the line is only set at 6.5 Runs|
|Matt Strahm (SD Padres)||Strahm has pitched well this year and now faces a Nationals team that is wrecked with injuries. A lesser talented lineup means he should do better than recent outings.|
|Marcus Strohman (Toronto Blue Jays)||Strohman has already faced Oakland once and shut them down, earning the win 5-1. He is putting up 6-7 K's per game, which will add to his DFS point total and playing at home in a jammed-packed game with Vlad Jr making his debut.|
|Mitch Garver (Minnesota Twins)||Garver is hitting .405 with 5 Home Runs and 10 RBI's. He has an ideal matchup against Alex Cobb, who serves up HR's like Sunday Dinner!|
|Tom Murphy (Seattle Mariners)||Murphy hasn't played in a few days but his numbers are through the roof! Hitting .417 and has a 1.273 OPS! This guy is a cash game must have and I also like him in GPP due to his high upside.|
|Rhys Hoskins (Philadelphia Phillies)||Make sure this game plays but if rain doesn't wash it out, then find a way to pay up for Hoskins. He is hitting the ball great with home runs in 2 of his last 4 games.|
|Trey Mancini (Baltimore O's)||Mancini has hit safely in 7 straight games and has 11 hits in those 7 games. He is batting .337 with 6 home runs and 14 RBI's.|
|Michael Chavis (Boston Red Sox)||Chavis has ripped the leather off the ball lately, posting DK points of 16, 19 and 17 in the past 3 games.|
|Eric Sogurd (Toronto Blue Jays)||Sogurd is seeing the ball very well here lately and putting up some big nights in DFS. He is hitting .367 and .940 OPS.|
|Yoan Moncada (Chicago White Sox)||Moncada is due for a big game. He has hit over .300 all year and has 6 home runs so far. Coming off a series with the O's where he posted double-digit DFS points in 2 of 3 games without hitting a homer.|
|Vlad Guerrero Jr (Toronto Blue Jays)||His debut is finally here, Vlad Jr will make his long-awaited MLB debut and I do think this kid shines in the spotlight. I expect he will hit the ground running, against Mike Fiers who has allowed 5 home runs in the last 3 games.|
|Jonathan Villar (Baltimore O's)||Villar is putting together a nice start to the year. He is becoming one of my go-to guys in DFS at the SS position and is providing the same type of numbers that the more expensive guys are.|
|Carter Kieboom (Washington Nationals)||The Nationals top prospect gets a chance to make his MLB debut on Friday and with most eyes on Vlad Guerrero Jr, the hot-hitting SS may steal the show! He is crushing the ball at triple-A and is going to get a chance to prove himself with Trea Turner on the sidelines and Difo really struggling!|
|Eddie Rosario (Minnesota Twins)||Rosario is due for a breakout game and now faces the Baltimore Orioles, in the ideal spot. He has hit 10 home runs this year and I like the chances for #11 here on Friday Night.|
|Nelson Cruz (Minnesota Twins)||I like this Twins stack today against Alex Cobb, who has served up 5 home runs in just 2 games this year. I expect a high scoring game and the Twins stack racking up the DFS points.|
|Marcell Ozuna (STL Cardinals)||I really like Ozuna in this spot. He is hitting the ball well and getting on base routinely. He is hitting .272 with 9 home runs and has a 1.020 OPS.|
