NFL Week 8 DFS Lineup Tips & Picks
Welcome to week 8 of the fantasy football season! This slate feature 7 games and there is a mixture of close games as well as teams favored by 7 or more. This slate features a lot of stud players at each position and there are a few games with totals close to 50. Let’s start by looking at the recommended quarterbacks.
Philip Rivers Chargers
The Chargers are 7 point underdogs, so they will have to throw the ball to keep it close. They are going against a defense that gives up on average 310 passing yards per game. I look for a big game out of the Chargers passing game.
Tom Brady Patriots
The Patriots have the highest projected team total on the slate at 28. Brady is averaging 300 passing yards per game which is 2nd best in the NFL.
Jameis Winston Buccaneers
Jameis Winston is leading the NFL in passing yards per game at 312. The Buccaneers also have one of the highest team totals on the slate which makes Winston a good mid-level priced quarterback.
LeGarrette Blount Eagles
The Eagles are favored by 13 points against the 49ers and the 49ers are giving up the 4th most rushing yards per game in the NFL. I look for a big game from Blount in this game.
Mark Ingram Saints
The Saints are favored by 9 against the Bears which means they will be trying to eat up clock with a lead. The Bears are giving up over 100 yards per game, so Ingram is a good play this week.
Matt Forte Jets
The Falcons continue to give up a lot of fantasy points to pass catching backs and Forte is still a low end RB1/high end RB2 this season. Look for Forte to have a big game.
Mike Evans Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are in a game that projects to be a shootout. They average the most passing yards per game in the NFL and shouldn’t have any problem moving the ball on the Panthers.
Mike Williams Chargers
Malcom Butler is an elite cover corner that will be matchup up against Keenan Allen in this game which will force Rivers to go to his WR2/3/TE. Williams is a cheap option at WR this week that has a chance to score.
A.J. Green Bengals
The Colts are giving up the 2nd most passing yards per game in the NFL. The Bengals love to force feed Green the ball, so look for him to go over 100 and get a touchdown.
Rob Gronkowski Patriots
The Patriots game is the highest total on the board and they are favored by 7, so they have the highest projected team total on the slate. I look for Gronk to have a big game against the Chargers.
Hunter Henry Chargers
Henry is still overlooked at the tight end position and they are going against the Patriots in a game where they will have to throw the ball in order to keep up with the Patriots in scoring.
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins Jets
ASJ is becoming one of the better options every week because McCown looks to target him each game. They are playing against the Falcons a team that gives up short to middle pass plays every game. Look for ASJ to get a touchdown in this game.
