The $100,000 Artie Schiller Stakes will run as Race 9 on the Nov. 14 card at Aqueduct.
The event for three-year-olds and up will cover one mile on turf and include names like Therapist, Rinaldi, and Delaware among the field of 10.
Here is a look at the top runners set for the Artie Schiller Stakes.
Betting Preview: Therapist, Rinaldi
The morning-line favorite coming in at 5/2 is Oak Bluff Stables’ Therapist. The five-year-old gelding from Freud is trained by Christophe Clement.
He has a career record of 8-2-5 from 20 starts and earnings of $598,345. In 2020, he has one win, two seconds, and one third from four outings.
Last time out, he finished second in the Oct. 24 Mohawk Stakes (Black Type) at Belmont Park, where he registered an impressive 114 Speed Figure. He also finished third in the Sept. 4 West Point Stakes (Black Type) at Saratoga and won the June 7 First Defence Stakes (Black Type) at Belmont Park.
Therapist will break from Post 10 under jockey Javier Castellano.
He will have to fend off the 3/1 Rinaldi, owned by Bond Racing Stable. The four-year-old gelding from Posse is trained by H. James Bond.
He is 4-1-1 from eight career starts with earnings of $321,490. In 2020, he has two wins and one second from four outings.
His most recent performance was a sixth-place finish in the Oct. 24 Mohawk Stakes (Black Type) at Belmont Park, where he registered a 108 Speed Figure. He also scored the Sept. 4 West Point Stakes (Black Type) at Saratoga and a July 30 allowance optional claiming race at the track.
Rinaldi will break from Post 2 under rider Nik Juarez.
Betting Preview: Delaware
Another runner to watch out for is Juddmonte Farms’ Delaware, coming in at 9/2. Chard Brown trains the four-year-old Frankel colt.
He has a career record of 3-4-1 from 14 starts with earnings of $149,041. His 2020 runs include one second-place finish from three outings.
He finished fifth last time out in the Aug. 15 King Edward Stakes (G2) at Woodbine, which followed the runner-up effort in a July 5 allowance optional claiming race at Belmont Park. His other performance this year was an eighth-place run in the June 7 First Defence.
The rest of the field (post, morning line) is set to include: Ballagh Rocks (Post 1, 12/1), Hawkish (Post 3, 10/1), Hembree (Post 5, 6/1), Clear Vision (Post 7, 20/1), Ninety One Assault (Post 8, 15/1), and Valid Point (Post 9, 6/1).

Therapist will have to fend off Rinaldi to take this one, and that will not be an easy task. Rinaldi is coming off a disappointing sixth-place run, so he comes into this race looking to redeem himself. The 4-year-old still registered a 108 Speed Figure last time out, so he should have no problem keeping up with the favorite.
