The Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview and Free Pick – Saturday, November 6, 2021

by Spooky Express | November 4, 2021 |

It isn’t just Del Mar hosting top-class racing action this weekend, as Belmont also has a number of stakes races. The Chelsey Flower Stakes is the seventh race on the card and is due off at 3:15 PM ET. A field of nine two-year-old fillies is declared to run over a 1 1/16 mile distance on the turf.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (1) Shad Nation

A number of the runners come into this with a perfect record, which includes Shad Nation for Christophe Clement. This two-year-old broke her maiden at Belmont in October with a speed figure of 83. Paco Lopez takes the ride and should have a good chance in the race.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (2) Kneesnhips

Kneesnhips has lined up on four previous occasions, but this will be her first start at Belmont. Her last two runs have both come in graded company, but she finished eighth in both the G3 Pocahontas and G2 Jessamine Stakes. She was also third in the listed Bolton Landing Stakes at Saratoga.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (3) Ouraika

There’s a French-bred contender in the field for Graham Motion. This two-year-old won her maiden at Dax, before finishing fourth in an allowance race in August. This is her first start in the United States, and there are too many questions hanging over her here.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (4) Mischevious Kiss

William Mott is the trainer for Mischevious Kiss. We saw the very best of this two-year-old on her first start at Belmont, as she ran clear in a maiden special weight at the track in October. She was also third on debut at Saratoga with a respectable speed figure of 78.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (5) Caironi

Caironi is another of the runners that will be making her second start this weekend. She made a winning start to her career when she won a maiden special weight at Belmont in October with a speed figure of 75. However, further, improvement is needed here.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (6) Evangeline Allons

Kevin Boniface trains this two-year-old, who will be making her first start at Belmont this weekend. Her only win to date came in her third start, as she won a maiden claiming at Colonial Downs. However, a speed figure of 48 from that run does little to further her claims. She was third in the Selima Stakes on her previous start.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (7) Philly Eagles

Irish-bred horses have performed well at Belmont this season, and Philly Eagles will be looking to maintain that record. She won on debut at Doncaster, before joining the Mark Casse yard. She was in very good form on her first start in the United States, as she finished fourth in the G2 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont. The previous experience here, coupled with her class, could make her the one to beat.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (8) Lady Milagro

Lady Milagro goes in the Chelsey Flower for trainer Carlos Martin. She finally recorded the first win when coming out on top in a maiden claiming at Belmont in October. That win came after underwhelming performances at Saratoga, where she finished fifth and fourth on her first two starts.

Chelsey Flower Stakes Betting Preview: (9) Misthaven

Misthaven is another with graded experience in this race. She was last seen when seventh in the G2 Jessamine Stakes, but there was enough to like about that run to merit support here. However, this is her first run at Belmont.
