by Spooky Express | July 22, 2021 |

The $150,000 Grade III Lake George Stakes is the ninth of ten races on Saratoga’s Friday card. It’s open to three-year-old fillies and will be run at a mile on the turf with a field of ten entries breaking from the starting gate.

Betting Preview: Jouster

The Todd Pletcher trained filly took three races to break her maiden, finally succeeding on January 10th at Gulfstream Park and taking second in the Grade III Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay Downs two races later on March 6th. Jouster’s most recent victory was in the $200,000 Grade II Appalachian Stakes at Keeneland on April 3rd, going wire to wire as the 8/5 favorite to win by a length and a half, but followed it up with a disappointing fourth-place finish in the Grade III Wonder Again Stakes at Belmont on June 3rd after fading from the lead at the top of the stretch.

In seven career starts, her record is 3-2-0 with earnings of $226,920. Jouster will start from the fifth post position as the slight morning-line favorite at odds of 7/2.

Betting Preview: Technical Analysis

Trainer Chad Brown has four entries in the race, three of which are among the top five in the morning line odds, including Technical Analysis, who finished sixth in her fourth career start and stakes racing debut in the Wonder Again Stakes. She broke her maiden in her second attempt at Aqueduct on November 29th but wasn’t entered into another race until a win in an allowance optional claiming contest on April 29th.

She has earnings of $105,700 with a career record of 2-0-1. With morning line odds of 4/1, Technical Analysis drew the eighth post position.

Betting Preview: Amy C

In her first race in the United States after a pair of starts at Deauville in France, Amy C won an allowance optional claiming race at Belmont Park on June 25th, winning at a mile and a sixteenth as the even odds favorite after running last in the seven-horse field for the first six furlongs. She has a record of 2-1-0 in her brief three-race career with winnings of $72,760 and will start from the sixth post position for trainer Chad Brown at morning line odds of 9/2.

Betting Preview: Runaway Rumour

The undefeated filly is coming off her third win in the $100,000 Wild Applause Stakes (Listed) after making a strong closing run, advancing from third place at the top of the stretch for a half-length victory as a 14/1 longshot. Runaway Rumour has a perfect 3-0-0 record and has earned $140,250, starting with 6/1 odds from the second starting position.

Betting Preview: Minaun

Another Chad Brown-trained entry is making her third start in the United States after finishing second to Runaway Rumour in the Wild Applause Stakes. Minaun has a career mark of 2-2-0 in four outings with earnings of $107,287 and will break from the outside position with morning line odds of 6/1.
