The Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview and Free Pick – Saturday, November 6, 2021

by Spooky Express | November 4, 2021 |

The Steward Manor Stakes takes place at Belmont Park on Saturday, as fillies aged two race over two furlongs on the turf. A field of ten has declared for the contest, which boasts a purse of $100,000.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview:  (1) Hot Fudge

The field is headed by Hot Fudge for trainer Linda Rice. There is a lot to like about this two-year-old, who has been competitive on all three starts at Belmont to date.

He broke his maiden in September with a speed figure of 77 and returned with a far from a disgraceful run when seventh in the competitive G1 Frizette. Rice has a 28% strike rate at Belmont this season, and Hot Fudge is a leading contender to improve that.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (2) Charlee O

Charlee O broke her maiden at Belmont in July with a maiden special weight success. However, her performances since stepping up in class have been disappointing. She was sixth in the Bolton Landing Stakes, before finishing in the same position once more in the G2 Miss Grillo.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (3) Mystic Eyes

Todd Pletcher sends a runner to Belmont this weekend, as Manuel Franco looks to guide Mystic Eyes to a second win in four. She hasn’t won since her maiden success at Saratoga, but second in the Ainsworth Stakes and then a third in the G3 Matron certainly highlight the main player in this step-down.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (4) Rigby

Michael Maker trains Rigby, who certainly had past form at Belmont. She broke her maiden here in September, before stepping up into the graded company. That jump looked a bit too soon in her career, as she finished eleventh in the G2 Jessamine Stakes. However, there would be few surprises to see this two-year-old run a much better race back at Belmont.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (5) Stand Up Comic

Stand Up Comic has some of the best form on paper, having won twice in three starts. However, wins at Parx and Delaware were put to the test in the Bolton Landing Stakes last time. Still, a fourth in that contest was a solid effort, and will be an interesting contender on her track debut.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (6) The Club

The first of two for Christophe Clement comes in the form of The Club. This two-year-old finished second on both of her first two career starts, with her debut coming at Belmont. Her first win finally came at Saratoga, before she ran on relatively well on her return to Belmont when fifth in the G3 Matron.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (7) Gal in a Rush

The second of the Clement runners in the Stewart Manor is Gal in a Rush. She has been in great form at Belmont this season, winning her maiden here in September, before finishing a very decent second in the G3 Matron. On the basis of her last run, she has the class of the field.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (8) Flip My Id

The second of the Michael Maker runners is Flip My Id. This two-year-old won on debut at Belmont with an 82-speed figure, before finishing seventh on both recent starts.

The first of those came in the Bolton Landing Stakes before she was way back again in the Ainsworth Stakes. A return to Belmont makes her an interesting contender.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (9) Still My Babe

Still My Babe was made to wait for the first win for trainer Cathal Lynch. She was third on debut at Delaware, before improving to second at Saratoga on her next run. The wait for a first win was ended most recently at Laurel Park, but she will need much more here against proven stakes and graded quality rivals.

Stewart Manor Stakes Betting Preview: (10) Benbang

Benbang is trained by Jonathan Thomas and is searching for a second career win. She was impressive on debut when hitting a speed figure of 81, before finishing sixth in the G1 Spinaway. Both previous starts have been at Saratoga, which means there are concerns regarding how she will perform at Belmont.
