The Breeders’ Cup Sprint Betting Preview and Free Pick – Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021

by Spooky Express | November 4, 2021 |

The biggest sprint race of the year is now here. Don’t blink, or you may miss it! The Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint will take place as Race 8 of a scheduled 12-race card going to post at 2:38 pm (PT). Nine horses will be running for the $2,000,000 purse.

This race is restricted to three-year-olds and upward and will be run on the main dirt surface. The distance for the Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint will be six furlongs.  The weather for this day’s events looks as perfect as ever.

Typical running styles that win over this track in recent history are those who can stay just off the front early pace. Of the contenders today, we will be highlighting four probable winners. There is a monster running in here, but also a very hot new up and comer.

Betting Preview: (2) Jackie’s Warrior

Their recent race history suggests this horse is truly special and usually absolutely dominates the competition. Jockey Joel Rosario continues to be on board and is winning at 22% for the year. Trainer Steve Asmussen is winning at 19% and has this horse primed. Their running style is of a speedster. Workout times are good coming in.

Morning line odds are 6/5. Their history on this track is non-existent, but they’ve only lost once in their last five starts and that was by a neck. Their history at a distance is a perfect 2 for 2. Their history on this surface is 7 of 8. Their experience, in general, says this one will be hard to beat. This horse is beyond fast. If you get 6/5 odds be thankful.

Betting Preview: (5) Aloha West

Their recent race history suggests a good second to Special Reserve last out but by only a neck has this one in with a chance. Jockey Jose Ortiz is in the irons for trainer Wayne Catalano.

Their running style is that of a pacer. Workout times are average coming in. Morning line odds are 8/1. This one makes a ton of sense to me underneath as their record is super consistent.

Betting Preview: (8) Special Reserve

Their recent race history suggests a nice stake win last out at Keeneland puts this one in with a shot. Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. is winning at 23% for the year. Trainer Mike Maker is winning at 16%.

Their running style is that of a pacer. Workout times are average coming in. Morning line odds are 6/1. This makes sense as the price play here underneath.

Betting Preview: (9) Dr. Schivel

Their recent race history suggests that if Jackie’s Warrior is not on their game, this one will be walking away a champion. Jockey Flavor Flavien Prat will be riding and is winning at 28% this year. Trainer Mark Glatt is winning at 18%.

Their running style is that of a speedster but they’ve also come from just off the pace. Workout times are great coming in. Morning line odds are 4/1. Their history on this track is a perfect three-for-three. Their history at a distance is four-for-four. There’s not much to dislike.
