Sugarland Thoroughbreds’ Rush Hour Traffic is coming in as the favorite at 8/5.
The 3-year-old daughter of Cross Traffic is trained by Gary Scherer and has a record of 2-0-1 from four career starts with earnings of $84,050.
The filly’s last performance was a disappointing eighth place effort in a June 16 allowance race at Canterbury. However, she finished first in the Sept. 1 Northern Lights Debutante Stakes and took an Aug. 10 maiden special weight race at Canterbury last year.
Rush Hour Traffic will break from post 6 under jockey Francisco Arrieta.
The second choice coming in at 2/1 is Novogratz Racing Stables’ Defend the Rose.
The 3-year-old daughter of First Defence is trained by McLean Robertson and has a record of 1-1-0 from four starts with earnings of $41,435.
The filly’s last performance was a fifth place effort in a June 11 allowance race at Canterbury Park. She also finished tenth in an allowance optional claiming at Oaklawn Park on April 2 and second in the Sept. 1 Northern Lights Debutante Stakes at Canterbury.
Defend the Rose will break from post 7 under Alex Canchari.
One of the other top runners set to be part of the field is Rake Farms’ Grey Wave.
The 3-year-old daughter of Graydar is trained by Bernell Rhone and has a record of 1-0-1 from four career starts with earnings of $26,044.
The filly finished third in a June 11 allowance race at Canterbury Park, sixth in an April 26 allowance optional claiming at Tampa Bay Downs, and scored a Sept. 13 maiden special weight back at Canterbury.
Grey Wave will break from post 2 under jockey Dean Butler. Her morning line is at 9/2.
