The $100,000 Rego Park Stakes will run as Race 8 on the Jan. 10 card at Aqueduct Racetrack.
The event for 3-year-olds will cover 6 1/2 furlongs and include names like Blue Gator, Halpert, Lookin for Trouble, and Storm Shooter among the field of eight.

Betting Preview: Blue Gator, Halpert
One of the leading runners coming into the race is Three Diamonds Farm’s Blue Gator. The Laim’s Map colt is trained by Michael Maker.
He has a career record of 2-1-0 from three starts and earnings of $179,445.
Last time out, he took second in the Nov. 14 Notebook Stakes at Aqueduct. The colt’s victories came in the Oct. 26 New York Breeders’ Futurity at Finger Lakes and a Sept. 25 maiden special weight race at Belmont Park.
Blue Gator will break from post 4 under jockey Kendrick Carmouche.
One of his challengers among the field will be Jeff Drown’s Halpert. The More Than Ready colt is trained by Jeremiah Englehart.
He is 1-0-0 from two career starts with earnings of $38,872.
That victory came last time out in a Nov. 14 maiden special weight race at Aqueduct, which followed a sixth-place finish in a Sept. 4 maiden special weight race at Saratoga.
Halpert will break from post 1 under rider Eric Cancel.
Betting Preview: Lookin for Trouble, Storm Shooter
Another entrant to pay attention to is William Butler’s Lookin For Trouble. The Into Mischief colt Is also trained by Michael Maker.
He has a career record of 1-1-2 from six starts and earnings of $89,120.
His most recent performance was a third-place finish in a Dec. 4 allowance optional claiming race at Aqueduct. Prior to that, he took fifth in the Nov. 14 Notebook Stakes at the track, second in the Oct. 2 Beltram F. Bongard Stakes at Belmont Park, and third in the Sept. 4 Funny Cide Stakes at Saratoga. The colt’s victory came in an Aug. 7 maiden special weight race at Saratoga.
Lookin for Trouble will break from post 7 under rider Jorge Vargas, Jr.
MyRaceHorse Stable’s Storm Shooter will also be among the field. The Twirling Candy colt is trained by Hall of Famer Todd Pletcher.
He is 1-0-1 from three career starts with earnings of $46,240.
The colt is coming off a Nov. 14 Notebook Stakes win at Aqueduct, which followed an Oct. 29 maiden special weight win at Belmont Park. His other run was third in a Sept. 25 maiden special weight race at Belmont Park.
Storm Shooter will break from post 6 under jockey Dylan Davis.
The rest of the field (post, jockey) is set to include: New York One (Post 2, C. P. DeCarlo); Uno (Post 3, J. Lezcano); Windy Nations (Post 5, T. McCarthy); and Perfect Munnings (Post 8, M. Franco).
