Here is a look at the top runners set for the Kalookan Queen Stakes.
Betting Preview: Qahira, Amuse
Leading the field is Baoma Corporation’s Qahira. The 5-year-old mare from Cairo Prince is trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert.

Last time out, she took second in the Nov. 25 Chillingworth Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita. Prior to that, she took three consecutive allowance optional claiming races, on Aug. 16 and Aug. 22 at Del Mar, and on July 7 at Los Alamitos Thoroughbred.
Qahira will break from post 3 under jockey Joel Rosario.
She will be up against Bass Racing, Claiborne Farm, and Adele Dilschneider’s Amuse. The 6-year-old mare from Medaglia D’Oro is trained by Richard Mandella.
She is 2-2-3 from 10 career starts with earnings of $141,811.
Her most recent performance was a third-place finish in the Sept. 25 Chillingworth Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita, which followed a runner-up effort in the Aug. 21 Rancho Bernardo Handicap (G3) at Del Mar. She also finished third back on July 4 in the Great Lady M Stakes (G2) at Los Alamitos Thoroughbred.

Baffert’s Qahira is being touted as the leading runner coming into this one, but more attention should be focused on Amuse. She finished on-the-board in two consecutive stakes outings and has demonstrated solid speed over her last few runs. She will be looking to take her first stakes victory.
