Bet on Horses for January 14, 2018

Race 1

1 horse – MR. BRIDGER – Horse has been consistent at this level. Rider switch to Jose Ortiz on the grass will help.  May not win, but exotics are in the picture.

5 horse – ARCHER ROAD – Trainer Stanley Gold has been red hot. His buyers on a firm tough course put this one in the hunt. Last race was in the slop. Throw that one away.

6 horse – AREYOUTALKINGTOME – Gaffalione/Nicks combo.   That is all I need to see.

Race 5

2 horse – CANDY ASSET – Third race of the form cycle. Whopping 84-buyer last time out. Improvement off that effort and we have a chance at the winners circle.

5 horse – BRACKET CREEP – Another third race of the form cycle. Solid 74 buyer last out to win by 10 lengths. Chad Brown trains this one as well.  Hard to ignore any horse winning by 10 lengths.

6 horse – YOUR ONLY MAN – Yet another horse making third career start, this one is trained by Todd Pletcher and had Johnny V in the saddle. Ran in 2016, then came back to run in December of 2017. This makes this the second race off the layoff. 72 buyer is solid and improvement is expected.

Race 8

1 horse – SWAN OF THE NILE – First time starter out of PIONEER OF THE NILE.  Trainer is Ian Wilkes who is known to do well with first timers.  This one may be a price.

8 horse – CILANTRO – Yet another Todd Pletcher maiden horse on the weekend. This is a three-year-old race and he has Johnny V in the saddle. Paid $130,000 for this one. Have to go with in a race that does not appear to be stacked with quality horses.

10 horse – CYPRIANA – Jose Ortiz rides for Mark Henning. Had two bullet works for career debut; 1 of 11 and 1 of 10.  Paid $300,000 for this one, I expect it to run.

Good luck and thanks for horseracing with Dietz!
