6 Damon’s Mound opened 2026 with bang when defeating Florida Breds in the Sunshine Sprint Stakes in gate-to-wire fashion here at GP. This Billy Mott trainee doesn’t necessarily need the lead and will have to rate off the likely pace setter #5 Wound Up. 6-year old is perfect 2-2 here at Gulfstream and enters with a recent 1/90 bullet. 5 Wound Up is your likely controlling speed in here, he just needs to be careful not to engage in a speed duel early. If somehow he can set a reasonable pace early, he’ll be tough to run down late. Win Contender

7 Attfield has yet to run a bad race in 3 career starts and is sweet value with the 8-1 morning line. She makes her All-Weather debut today and I’m hoping this Colt takes to the surface switch. This son Vekoma has won 2of 3 on the turfwith only loss coming in a Grade 3. He’s a great value and my Pick for the upset win. Top Pick

11 Fulleffort rallied from off the pace to finish by just a length last out in the Leonatus Stakes over this  All-Weather track. Colt should be even tighter second off the bench today. Win Contender 

1 Street Beast was wire to wire winner of the Leonatus 3 weeks ago. Colt was able to establish an easy lead day which I believe he doesn’t get today. Still he’s a classy son of Street Sense who ran solid 4th in the Grade1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf. His class just might overcome the added expected early pressure today. Don’t Ignore
