2 Spirit of St Louis hasn’t shown the killer instinct late in the stretch in his last 3 races, coming up short but still finishing well and cashing a check. This Gelding is a closer in a race loaded with early speed. Hopefully he can get back to his winning ways today. Win Contender 

7 Sounds Like a Plan enters here riding a 3 race win streak which includes 2 back-to-back gate-to-wire victories versus open-company. This son of Twirling Candy fits well here versus these State Breds. Don’t Ignore

Saratoga Race 8 Waya Stakes

9 Unmerited Favor should benefit from the jockey change to Junior Alvarado.  I didn’t care for the ride this one recieved last out when finishing a fading 4th. This Filly’s race two back was impressive. She was able to close with authority despite a pedestrian pace upfront and drew off for a near 2- length victory versus Allowance/Optional 80k 2x foes at Churchill.  A repeat of that performance can get the job done in here at a price. 1 Evershed makes her second start off the layoff for trainer Arnaud Delacour today. The last time this Filly made her second start off the bench she ran a career top at this distance when finishing second last year’s Saratoga Oaks. Love this gal’s chances today. Win Contender
