9 Lion Lake exits from a sharp second place finish in the Grade 2 Wonder Again Stakes over this turf course here at the Spa. The Filly didn’t get the best of trips that day and lost the crop, yet stll finish well. She gets some class relief today and appears to be the one to beat.Top Pick

5 Ultimate Love was overmatched in the Grade1 Belmont Oaks and finished a disappointing 9th beaten by 12-lengths. I’m going to forgive that effort as she didn’t get the best of rides and was facing a salty group of horses.This Filly is much better than her last race and offers a great value with the 10-1 morning line. 6 Amberglen must be considered after dominating 5-length victory on blades at Churchill. Filly steps up in class here after running career top under the Twin Spires. Major Threat

Colonial Downs Race 9 Secretariat Stakes Grade 2

6 Infiltrate is a lightly raced son of Oscar Performance with plenty of upside. Colt has only 3 starts on his short resume but has won 2 of 3 with a placing. Colt makes his turf debut today off a 8-month layoff. The layoff is a definite concern but this Brendan Walsh trainee has a work tab that’s dotted with bullets. This is the kind of race that Walsh can pull the upset. This Colt is bred for the blades and has been training well. I’ll take a shot. Live Longshot

9 Gimmie a Nother returned from a 9-month hiatus and went gate-to-wire in the Grade 3 Eatontown. Mare set tepid fractions upfront and had plenty left in the stretch drive to win by over 3 comfortable lengths. Gal has good tactical speed and doesn’t need to be on the front end. She likely tracks off the pace today and gets first run at the pace setters. Win Contender 

6 Achieve looks like a different animal since switching surfaces from dirt to turf. Filly has reeled off two straight victories including a recent score here on the blades versus softer. She’ll need to move forward to defeat this group today. She just might be up to the task. Live Longshot
