Aqueduct Race 7

  • 1 One Nine Hundred finished third by just a neck in debut here at 6 furlongs. Colt broke slow that day and raced greenly which likely cost this son of Dailed In the race. A cleaner break and trip could get this Colt’s picture taken today. Win Contender
  • 6 Grand Commander exits the same race as the aforementioned. This Gelding pressed the pace throughout the entire 6 furlong event and fought gamely only to lose by a nostril. The red hot Kendrick Carmouche is in the irons today. Win Contender
  • 5 Colloquial hasn’t seen the starting gate in over 7 months. Colt did impress in debut back in June of 2024, clocking in with a 95 Bris number while losing a head by a nose. I like to see a race before betting a 6/5 favorite coming in here off a long layoff. Use Underneath
  • 3 Toga d’ Oro is a first time starter by Bolt d’ Oro, whose debut runners hit at a respectable 16% winners. Don’t Ignore

Aqueduct Race 8

  • 9 Our Preferred Pal tried to wire her rivals at this level last out at a mile , succumbing in the stretch drive to lose by 2-lengths. I like that this gal draws the outside post as she cuts back to 7-furlongs. She doesn’t necessarily need the lead to win , so I’m anticipating a change in tactics today. Win Contender
  • 4 Syl’s Pleasure exits from an even 4th when routing for the first time. Filly ran extremely wide that day but still came home strong despite the extremely wide trip. I like the turn back to seven furlongs for this daughter of Accelerate. She ran a solid second at 6 furlongs in her debut. I expect this gal to run well today. Win Contender
  • 7 Trulli Magic should be player with the drop in class today. Major Threat

Selections 9-4-7-8

Fair Grounds Race 5

  • 6 Fionn was an easy winner when breaking Maiden on the grass here at Fair Grounds in her second career start. She was able to close into a pace that was at a crawl throughout the Maiden event. If this gal gets a moderate to fast tempo upfront, she’ll run them down late. Top Pick
  • 3 Fine Finish sports some of the fastest turf speed figures of his rivals today. Filly didn’t care the sloppy track last out, finishing a disappointing third in a short 5- horse field. She should relish getting back on the turf. Win Contender
  • 2 Paris Lily tries the blades for the first time today . This gal was last seen pressing the pace in the Untapable Stakes but faltered in the stretch. This is a much easier group she’s facing today. She’s bred to handle the grass, so I expect this Filly to be right in the mix at the wire. Major Player

Fair Grounds Race 7

1 Petcoff enters here off back-to-back turf sprint wins , which includes a recent victory while facing winners for the first time. This Brittany Russell trainee is a perfect 2-2 while sprinting here at the Fair Grounds. Gelding steps up in class here but doesn’t need much to defeat this field. Win Contender

2 Think Big rarely runs a bad race, but the problem is that this Gelding has broke slowly in 4 of his 6 Lifetime starts. His lone Turf attempt was an impressive fast-closing 2-length win here at the FairGrounds. If he breaks well, and that’s a big “if,” I love his chances for the W. Win Contender

7 Ambivalent has been facing tougher. Don’t Ignore
