8 Good Reunion came back off a 5-month layoff to run an uneventful sixth at this level here at the Big A. I’m going to forgive that effort as this was coming off a layoff and was racing near the lead early in the race. He won 2 races by sitting back and making one solid run. He should benefit from the outside post and be a factor at the wire. Live Longshot
2 Boss Tweed drops in class for new trainer Brad Cox, who hits 38% winners first off the claim. This son of Laoban is a front-runner who needs the lead to win. He should be able to take this group gate to wire today as he drops to his lowest level yet. Win Contender
4 Castle Island is a Maryland shipper who was defeated by much tougher last out at Laurel. Gelding defeated Allowance 1x foes two races back at Pimlico. He fits well here. Major Threat

4 Just Music has been a model of consistency, finishing in the money 10 times in 11 Lifetime starts. Filly was last seen running a respectable 3rd at this level and distance. A move forward today will get this Linda Rice trainee to the winner’s circle. Win Contender
5 Brown Sugar Babe comes off a career-top effort versus NY Breds. This daughter of Solomini has won 3 of her last 4 races. Her lone mile and an eighth attempt resulted in a tiring 3rd place finish as the beaten favorite. She raced a bit close to the lead that day and will likely change tactics today. Win Contender
6 Bernietakescharge must be considered after her dominating 6-length victory last out at this distance. A bounce could happen off such a fine performance. I’ll use this gal underneath.

4 Zealous Moon was slow out the gate in the most recent start and lost any chance for victory. I love this gal’s maiden-breaking win at this distance on the green at Keeneland. She came home very quickly in the last quarter of a mile and galloped out sharply. A repeat of that effort could get the job done today. Win Contender
7 City of Oscars exits from a Maiden win in just his 3rd career start. This Gelding has yet to run a bad race. The red-hot Irad Ortiz Jr is in the irons today. Win Contender
1 Solei Volant ran better than it looked 5th while taking on winners for the first time. Don’t Ignore

6 Kale’s Angel gets back to his preferred distance today after failing in two routes. Colt did run a very good 4th in the Grade 3 Zuma Beach. I love this one’s chances with the cutback to 5 furlongs today. Top Pick
5 Innovator is the even-money morning line favorite. This 900k purchase took 5 starts to break Maiden and tries the blades for the first time. Colt has some strong speed figures on the dirt but will have to see if he can translate that form to the turf. Major Player
