Izzo Irritated with Media

The national media keeps asking Tom Izzo about things going on with his basketball programs, and he is irritated. Izzo mentioned to the media he would not answer any non basketball related questions. Of course, that did not go over real well with many. Michigan State has a chance to be a top seed in the NCAA Tournament if they can advance to the Big Ten title game.

Gard Looking for Miracle

It;s been a tough season for Greg Gard, the head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers though are looking to compete much like they did on Sunday when the Spartans barely downed them 68-63. Overall, Wisconsin has won four out of their last give games. The Badgers have been to the NCAA Tournament 19 straight seasons, but that is definitely in jeopardy.

The Badgers top scorer this season is Ethan Happ. The big man is scoring more than 17 points per game, with 8.2 rebounds per game. Brad Davison is the only other Wisconsin player scoring double digits per game. Wisconsin is one of the worst scoring teams in all of College Basketball. Wisconsin is scoring 67.3 points per game, but allowing just 66.5 on the season.

Badgers Compete; Spartans Win

The Wisconsin Badgers are a pesky team. That is something that has always been the case with this program. Bo Ryan had some great teams, that were of course very pesky. Now, Greg Gard is looking to carry that over. The Badgers know they are the underdog, but they also know they can compete with the Spartans. In tournament play, look for Wisconsin to battle and cover this spread.

In the end – the Spartans are going to win the game, but the Badgers are going to compete in this game. The final bet for the Big Ten Tournament game on Friday is the Wisconsin Badgers +11 over the Michigan State Spartans at Madison Square Garden.
