PFL 2025 World Tournament: First Round 2 Prediction

The next round of the PFL 2025 World Tournament is coming up soon with the main event showcasing a bantamweight bout between Leandro Higo (23-6-0) and Marcirley Alves (12-4-0) meeting on Friday, April 11 at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The main card kicks off at 11:00 PM ET and Higo is heavily favored to succeed with a moneyline at -475 at MyBookie.
Main Event Betting Preview
Higo is currently on a two-fight win streak heading into this upcoming showdown. His last fight was a unanimous decision in the Bellator Championship Series over James Gallagher back in March of last season.
So far, his fighting resume consists of three knockouts, 13 submissions, and seven decisions that total 23. Half of his six losses have come by decision. This shows a good opportunity to extend a fight and to withstand the entirety of it.
Alves is returning to the octagon after a unanimous decision loss to Sarvarjon Khamidov back in June of last year at the Bellator Championship Series Dublin. This loss snapped his three-game winning streak that he had been working on since 2022.
Out of his 12 wins, 10 are knockouts and two are decisions. In his four losses, two each have come by submission and decision.

Co-Main Event Betting Preview
The co-main event will showcase a women’s flyweight showdown will be between Liz Carmouche (22-8-0) and Ilara Joanne (12-9-0). Carmouche had her nine-fight win streak snapped (dating back to 2020) with a unanimous decision loss to Talia Santos back in August of last year.
In the 22 wins she has accumulated, nine have been by knockout, six are by submission, and the other seven have been by decision. She has proven to be strong on her feet with an intimidating stand up.
Joanne finally snapped her three-fight losing streak (since April of 2023) with a unanimous decision outing over Shanna Young at the PFL 4 in June of last year. In 12 wins, she has recorded four knockouts, three submissions, and five decisions. With her nine losses, four of them have been by decision. As you can see, her resume has been volatile.
Odds, Series Trends, and Free Pick
MyBookie offers the best PFL 2025 World Tournament betting odds, which favor Higo and Carmouche respectively in their own fights. A lot of changes have happened to the card, so these two fights are now the face of the event.
Higo is appealing here, as well as Carmouche in her fight, but both have really high odds that are not going to pay out much. One option you could consider is placing a parlay that includes several other fights on the night and choose which combination of bets you would like to make. If not, consider choosing a prop bet such as the fight ending before the third round or method of victory to gain the best payout.
Final Pick: Leandro Higo -475 (use in Parlay), Liz Carmouche -1200 (Parlay)
