BetOnline has set the point spread for this game at Portland -6½ and the over/under has been set at 223 points.
Charlotte is scoring 112.9 points per game, which is good for 9th in the league while giving up 112.1 points per game which has them ranked 21st. Charlotte has only won 4 of their last 10 games. They are struggling to win back to back games. They have not done so since early December.
Charlotte is led in scoring with a healthy 25.1 ppg by Kemba Walker. The rebounding leader with 6.2 per game is Cody Zeller, although take note that Zeller will miss this game due to injury. Walker is also the assist leader with 5.8 per game.
The Hornets really struggle away from home only winning 5 of their first 18 games. Hard to figure out when they are going to cover or not. Take your pick….they are 20-20 ATS.

Portland is scoring 111.5 points per game ranking them 14th in the league while giving up 110 points per game ranking them 15th. Portland has won 7 of their last 10 games including a win at Golden State, vs Philly and vs Houston. Damian Lillard is the team’s leading scorer at 25.9 ppg.
Jusuf Nurkic is pulling the most boards down per game at 10.4, while Lillard also is the leader in assists at 6.1 a game. Portland is having a solid season at home with a 17-7 record. Much like Charlotte is ATS, Portland comes in with a 21-21 record.

Friday Night Pick
What we have here is two teams going in opposite directions. This one to me in a NO BRAINER! I have already mentioned how bad Charlotte is on the road. This is their 4th straight road game. They still have two more after this during the 10-day road trip. Pretty sure I covered just about everything above.
Portland has also won the last 10 games at home vs Charlotte. Just too much for Charlotte to overcome. I have no idea how this line is only 6½. The only thing to do now is take Portland and collect your money from your book. Hope this isn’t the sucker bet of the night.
