The Houston Rockets will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, April 23, 2018 in a NBA Western Conference Playoff Game 4 matchup. This game is being played at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is scheduled to tip off at 8:00 PM ET.

The Rockets and Timberwolves have played each other 4 times in the regular season and 3 times in the postseason. The Rockets have completely dominated the matchups this year winning 6 out of 7 times with the only Timberwolves victory coming in their last game. Additionally, the Rockets have been the smart wager due to the fact that they have covered the spread in 5 out of 7 games this year.

Bookmaker has made the Houston Rockets the 5.5 point favorites in the game and have set the total for the over under at 219 points. If you were with us on Saturday Night, you cashed a nice play on the Minnesota Timberwolves +5 for 2 units. With that win, we improved our most recent stats in the NBA to 12-2-1 over the last 15 games. We have been crushing the sportsbooks and will look to continue this momentum with another winner here on Monday Night in the NBA Playoffs.

Rockets Struggle In Game 3

The Houston Rockets currently have a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Playoff Series with the Minnesota Timberwolves. They won their first two games at home but lost on the road against the Timberwolves on Saturday Night by the score of 121-105. As we predicted, James Harden bounced back strong in Game 3 but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

Harden ended up with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the game and was the Rockets leading scorer in the game. The Rockets got Ryan Anderson back after missing the past 7 games with a ankle injury. Anderson put in 18 minutes off the bench and scored 12 points.

It was abundantly obvious in watching the game that the Rockets simply didn’t show up to play on Saturday Night. They looked slow and tired and just didn’t seem like they wanted it as bad as the Timberwolves. Houston admitted after the game that the Timberwolves just played harder and wanted the win more. I would not expect that same type of performance on Monday.

Timberwolves Take Game 3 And Look For 2nd Win In Game 4

The Minnesota Timberwolves had their backs against the wall but bounced back nicely in front of their home crowd, winning Game 3 in front of the Minnesota crowd that had not seen a home playoff game since 2004. The Timberwolves used that hostile crowd to their benefit and we saw 4 out of 5 starters post at least 18 points in the game. Jimmy Butler was the team’s leading scorer, posting 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the game.

Jeff Teague also had a decent game, posting 23 points as the team’s second leading scorer. Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points, while Karl Anthony Towns posted a double double in the game with 18 points and 16 rebounds. The main factor that helped the Timberwolves is they were very careful with the ball and didn’t give the Rockets second chance opportunities to score points.

The T-Wolves only turned the ball over 7 times in the entire game and were much more careful with the basketball then they were in Game 1 and 2. These are the type of games that they need to play to be able to contain a hot shooting team like the Houston Rockets.

Houston Bounce Back And Take Out T-Wolves In Game 4

As we said in our article for Saturday’s game, it was expected that the T-Wolves crowd would play a big part in the outcome and they did. That excitement and hype will wear off by Monday and all though they will still be amped up for the game, it will be nothing like Saturday. I fully expect Houston to bounce back here and post a big game before returning home to close out the series. Houston will win this game and cover the spread!
