We have an early-week betting preview for you this Monday as we look ahead to a matchup between the Arizona Cardinals (2-0, 1-0 Away) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2, 0-1 Home). This Week 3 contest from TIAA Bank Field in Florida is set for a 1:00 pm EST kickoff.
These two teams have met just five times ever, dating back to 2000, with Arizona leading the all-time series, 3-2. The Cardinals are on a three-game winning streak against the Jags, with the most recent head-to-head battle coming back in 2017.
Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview: Explosive
The Cardinals have scored the second-most points through two games in the NFL (Detroit would have to score 40 on Monday night to surpass them) and boast an early MVP candidate in quarterback Kyler Murray. The third-year pro has accounted for nine touchdowns to get Arizona off to a 2-0 start, tied with the Rams in the NFC West.
They’re averaging 36 points per game but required a missed Minnesota field goal in the final seconds following a blowout win of the Titans to kick off their season. Three of the Cards’ first four games are on the road this year as they began in Tennessee, went home to Glendale, and then travel back to the East Coast for this Week 3 tilt with Jacksonville. Will the airline miles catch up to this high-octane offense?
Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview: Still Growing
Trevor Lawrence opened up his NFL career with the first three-interception game of his life in a loss to the Texans and followed that up with another frustrating performance against Denver in the Jags’ home opener.
The top overall pick and company amassed their fewest total yards of offense (189) since 2018 despite jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. That opening drive saw Jacksonville go 83 yards, only to collect 106 the rest of the way combined.
The Jags host this explosive Cardinal team still looking for their first win at home since the opening weekend of last season, which also is, of course, their last win overall.
Cardinals vs. Jaguars Betting Odds & Lines

On paper, this is a lopsided mismatch, and it’s hard to imagine Lawrence keeping up with Murray in a matchup between two of the last three No.1 picks in the NFL Draft. There are two factors going in the Jags’ favor, however.
We mentioned the early travel inconvenience, and you can add the lookahead element to this as well. It’s not far-fetched to picture the Cardinals looking past the lowly Jaguars with the Rams looming next week in Los Angeles.
This number could grow as the week goes along, so if you believe in the travel/overlook theories, you might be able to wait to get even more cushion. But even on Monday, we’ll take the points in what will end up being much closer than you would anticipate.
