NFL Betting Preview: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Miami Dolphins – Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020

by Ayden Fahlstrom | November 30, 2020 |

What could have been one of the most exciting rookie matchups in recent history was robbed of us. The Cincinnati Bengals will be on the road to take on the Miami Dolphins in this upcoming week of football.

We were looking forward to seeing Joe Burrow take on Tua Tagovailoa, but instead, we are likely to end up with Brandon Allen or Ryan Finley against Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Either way, the Dolphins have exploded onto the scene as one of the most exciting teams to watch all year, so let’s break down the matchup and show you where to put your money.

Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview: From Promise to Hopeless

Losing Joe Burrow was one of the biggest travesties of this season. Burrow was on pace to win the Rookie of the Year Award until his knee injury two weeks ago.

Now the Bengals, looking like they were set for the future to come, have nothing but question marks looming over their head as they move forward. Hopefully, Burrow can make a full recovery, but without him at the head of the ship, this team is bad.

Joe Mixon is looking like he will return for this contest, and he can be expected to play well. I don’t think he will have the wherewithal in him to carry this team to any victories.

Which, for all football fans, is a bummer. The Bengals were such a fun team to watch, but now with Burrow out, it is just sad.

Miami Dolphins Betting Preview: A Welcome New Team in the Mix

When Miami started this year with Tua backing up Ryan Fitzpatrick, it was a little shaky. Yes, they played well and won games, but people were excited to see Tagovailoa come out after his long-awaited drafting.

An electric downfield thrower and quick on his feet when scrambling, Tagovailoa looks like he can be a franchise guy for many years to come. Tagovailoa sat out last week with a thumb injury, and Fitzpatrick got the nod.

The Fins were playing the measly Jets, so there was no trouble taking care of business there. It would be nice to see Tagovailoa suit up for this one, but don’t be surprised if he is sitting out.

Miami’s defense has been lights out all season long. They are the anchor of this team and continue to surprise experts week after week.

They should be poised for a good matchup in this game.

Cincinnati at Miami Betting Odds and Lines

MyBookie has Miami favored in this game at -11.

A strong Miami defense will make it tough for their opponent to move the ball. Lookout for Miami’s receivers to have a big game.

I think you should take Miami in this game at -11. They need to win these games with how tight the AFC is for playoff spots.

Expect their defense to lead them to victory.
