MATCHUP AT A GLANCE

Where: Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida
Point Spread: New England -18½
Betting Total: 47½ points
The New England Patriots (1-0, 0-0 away) travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins (0-1, 0-1 home) in an AFC East matchup.
New England took apart Pittsburgh 33-3 in New England last week, while Miami got blasted on their home field by Baltimore 59-10.
These two met in Miami last year and the Dolphins pulled off a miracle to upset the Pats 34-33, while the Patriots at home made it look easy in a 38-7 win.
New England Patriots Betting Preview
It is a good thing that New England signed WR Antonio Brown because they really struggle to score points and Brady needs all the help he can get. NOT!! All kidding aside, this team is scary once again.
They just took apart the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night football 33-3. Pittsburgh was supposed to be one of the better defensive teams in the AFC this season, they were feeling pretty good about themselves until Sunday night.
Brady did his thing again throwing for 341 yards and 3 TD passes. WR’s Phillip Dorsett (95), Julian Edelman (83) & Josh Gordon (73) combined for 251 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
The running game did not do much with just 99 yards, but it did not need to with the passing game working so well. What makes the Pats so great is you never know what they are going to do. Belichick is so good at coming up with a game plan for every single opponent.
Next week you might see more running than passing. It is almost like there are not enough balls to go around with so much talent on offense.
With all the talk about the great offense, the defense gets overlooked. Holding Big Ben and company to just 3 points speaks for itself.
Let’s not forget the effort in last year's Super Bowl holding the Rams to just 3 points as well. This team is a complete package again and I do not see how they could not be the favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy again.
Miami Dolphins Betting Preview
I could just leave this section blank because blank is a good word to describe Miami’s team this season. The only person who might feel good about what is going on in Miami is Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, they are doing it all for him.
They better just hope he wants to play for them. They just looked helpless on Sunday when they lost at home to Baltimore 59-10. I actually for sorry for head coach Brian Flores.
This is not what he signed up for and I don’t think he has any say in the matter. Now there is talk of players wanting traded already one game into the season. It is like a hurricane came through South Beach and wiped out the attitude of the players and fans of the Dolphins.
South Florida native Lamar Jackson did his best Dan Marino imitation passing for 324 yards and 5 TD passes. Even backup QB Robert Griffin III got mop-up duty and was a perfect 6-6 with a touchdown pass. RB Mark Ingram ran for 107 yards and two TD’s as well, while two other running backs combined for over 100 yards.
Two receivers each had 100 yards catching the ball too. The offense just had their way with the Dolphins defense on Sunday. There was no Ryan Fitzpatrick magic to speak of either.
He completed less than half his passes for 185 yards with one TD pass & interception each. The rushing game did not exist with only 21 yards. I would love to tell you about a bright spot, but there was none.

I am pretty certain that 99.9% of the time if I can get an NFL home underdog this large I would take it. I am not so sure Miami qualifies as an NFL team in 2019. Miami’s only hope is if the Patriots show some mercy on the Dolphins.
However, I would not count on that. Miami usually beats New England when the game is in Miami. The Patriots know that and may take it out on them on Sunday. It is almost like the Pats get a second bye week this year.
I have no idea how Miami keeps this one under three touchdowns. How can you not feel sorry for Dolphins fans?
