The folks at BetAnySports have listed the Philadelphia Eagles as 4.5 point favorites with the total on the over/under being set at 45.5 points. Let’s jump in and find out what is the best option for betting from this NFC Wild Card game.
Green Bay Packers Preview
The Green Bay Packers come into this game with plenty of concern. First and foremost, they lost the final two games of the regular season. While that is bad, knowing they lost to one of the worst teams in the league, the Chicago Bears, must be really worrisome to them.
They ended the season with a record of 11-6 SU and went 9-8 ATS. Against teams in the postseason this year, the Packers went 2-5.
The Packers are dealing with some injuries and the main concern is QB Jordan Love. Love is dealing with an elbow injury but he will play here in the Wild Card Game.
Philadelphia Eagles Preview
The Philadelphia Eagles ended the regular season with a record of 14-3 SU and went 11-6 ATS. They won the final two games of the regular season with backup QB’s against New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
Much like Green Bay, the Eagles have some injury concern at QB. Jalen Hurts has missed time due to concussion protocol but team resources say he will play. You certainly will want to monitor this prior to gametime but we expect he will be in there. How rusty he will be is a total different story.
Hurts is a super bowl runner up quarterback. He led the Eagles to the 2022 Super Bowl but fell to the Chiefs. That said, that experience is worth its weight in gold and will be a major factor for him and the Eagles here against a QB that is still relatively unproven.
Handicapping and Prediction
These two teams played each other in the season opener with Phily getting the win 34-29. We think most of all, the most important thing is the fact that experience matters in the postseason! Hurts has experience, Love doesn’t have the same amount of experience. Hurts was out the past two weeks and we are confident he will be in there and lead the Eagles over the Packers! Take the Eagles at BetAnySports -4.5!
