The Cage Live Could See the Biggest Player Turnout
The Cage Live is a time-based cash game in a tournament format that now happens every 2 months in Costa Rica, where WPN’s headquarters are based.
The Taormina Hotel and Casino in San Jose, Costa Rica will host the event once again and a big turnout is expected.
Players from Americas Cardroom have the chance every Sunday night to win online an all-expenses-paid trip to San Jose Costa Rica. Their $55 Beast and Sit & Crush satellites start at 6 pm ET. The package value is $8,340 and includes all this:
• $5,000 + $250 Buy-in to Cage Live Event
• $800 airfare
• $1,000 spending Cash
• $340 Entry to 6 Plus No Limit Hold’em Event
• Up to 3 nights' accommodation at the Taormina Casino and Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica
• Airport Transportation
Packages to The Cage Live now include an additional $340 cash entry into their first 6 Plus No Limit Hold’em event. Winning Poker Network has already launched 6 Plus (Short Deck) for online cash games and will be hosting their first live 6 Plus No Limit Hold’em tournament during The Cage Live.
Dan Stavila Collected $42,115 in July, the Biggest Win in the History of The Cage Live
It seems that we could see this record broken in the next few days as we are seeing The Cage Live prize pool grow. There are currently 26 players registered with 2 weeks to go meaning that there is already $130,000 in the prize pool. There is a cap of 60 players for this event and if the maximum is reached, we will see a massive prize pool of USD $300,000 to play for.
On July 27th, the second edition of The Cage Live we saw 33 players entering the cage and only 13 players cashing in. Dan Stavila from USA was able to collect the most with an amazing win of $42,115.
The Final Event November 2018 will Feature a Pot Limit Omaha Structure
The high stakes cash game that uses a time-based tournament format is exciting as it is, but Winning Poker Network has decided to mix things up for the last one and change normal Texas Hold’em format to Pot Limit Omaha.
As we all know PLO should create some insanely large hands and with $5,000 in starting chips and four 3-hour blind levels starting at $10/$20 with $5 antes and progressing all the way up to $50/$100, well you do the math! Add PLO into the mix and the chips will be flying.
