After leaving Atlanta on Sunday, the NASCAR drivers and their crews will have a short window to prepare for their next endeavor, as they head for the Martinsville Raceway in Ridgeway, Virginia for Wednesday night’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500. This will be the first night race in the 73-year history of the Martinsville Raceway. The unique combination of asphalt on the straightaways and concrete on the turns will make for an exciting race at the ½-mile oval.
Here are some of the favorites along with some value plays that have a good shot at scoring big DFS points in Wednesday’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500.
Denny Hamlin – $11,900
The owner of three career victories at Martinsville, Hamlin comes into this race as one of the favorites, thus the high salary. Hamlin will be looking for his third win of the season, along with his five top-five finishes. In his last three races at Martinsville, he has finished in the top five, so look for good things from him on Wednesday night.
Kevin Harvick – $11,200
Harvick has had a tremendous start to the 2020 season. With two wins, including last Sunday at Atlanta, and top 10 finishes in nine of his last 10 starts, Harvick is almost a lock to be in contention for the checkered flag on Wednesday night.
Kyle Busch – $10,700
Busch, the betting favorite to win Wednesday night’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 has been quite successful at Martinsville over his career. He has 10 top five finishes in his last 11 starts. finished in the top five in 10 of his last 11 starts here. Busch is winless on the season, but has still finished in the top five in his last six starts.
Brad Keselowski – $9,500
Keswloski is looking for his third win of the season. He has finished in the top 10 seven times this season. He is the defending champion at this event, and has won two of the last three. Keselowski has an outstanding track record at Martinsville, so look for him to be at or near the top at the end of the race. Keselowski looks like a good value play here.
Clint Bowyer – $8,600
Bowyer has quietly had a nice start to the 2020 season. The veteran drive has three top 10 finishes on the season. Including a victory at Martinsville in 2018, Bowyer has finished in the top 10 in four of the last six races here.
Ryan Blaney – $8,400
Blaney has been putting everyone on notice as of late. Currently sitting in eighth in the driver point standings, Blaney has been racing well. After finishing fourth in Atlanta, Blaney has now finished in the top five in three of his last four races. He enjoys racing here, as he has top 10 finishes in four of his last five starts. At $8,400 Blaney could be a nice play.
