It has been another busy week for the NASCAR teams. Coming off of a Wednesday night affair in Martinsville, the drivers and their crews will now have a short preparation window for Sunday’s Dixie Vodka 400 at the Homestead-Miami Raceway.
With the weather conditions sure to make things dicey on Sunday, we’re in for a race full of excitement.
With the starting order pre-determined and front-loaded with big names, we’re looking for some of the top drivers to finish at or near the top of the leaderboard. Let’s take a look at some of the fantasy options for Sunday’s race.
Kevin Harvick – $11,800
Kevin Harvick deserves to have the highest salary for Sunday’s race. He has two wins on the season, and he has finished inside the top 10 in all 10 of his starts. Homestead has been good to Harvick, as he has finished in the top four every time he’s raced at Homestead since 2014.
Martin Truex Jr. – $11,400
Truex claimed victory Wednesday night in Martinsville. Truex is just now rounding into form, as he has finished in the top 10 in four of his last five starts. With a victory in 2017, and second place finishes in 2018 and 2019, Truex should be a contender for the checkered flag on Sunday.
Kyle Busch – $10,100
Busch is winless on the season, but he won this race last season. Busch has either won or finished second three of his last five starts here. Coming to Homestead could be just what Busch needs to get his first win in 2020.
Jimmy Johnson – $9,800
Johnson has had a nice career at Homestead. In his last seven starts here, he has finished inside the top 15. Johnson has been good all year, especially on the mile-and-a-half ovals. He has averaged a 7th place finish on those tracks this year.
Brad Keselowski – $9,500
Although he hasn’t led many laps here, Keselowski has always ran well at Homestead. He has finished in the top 10 in five of his last seven starts at the Homestead-Miami Raceway. With two wins and six top-10 finishes on the season, look for Keselowski to be in contention for the top spot.
Ryan Blaney – $8,800
The Homestead-Miami Raceway hasn’t always been good to Blaney. Even though he hasn’t raced well here, he has been racing well as of late. His best racing in 2020 has been on 1 ½ mile tracks. Blaney could be a nice value play on Sunday.
