Venue: UFC Apex
Watch on: ESPN+
Alexis Davis (19-10-0)
Davis is currently on a three fight skid and looking to turn things around. Her last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Viviane Araujo back in July of 2019.
Her fighting resume shows that she has two wins by knockout, eight by submission, and nine by decision. She also has three first round finishes by submission and one by knockout.
“Ally-Gator” has a striking accuracy at 46 percent and a grappling accuracy at 33 percent. She lands 4.27 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 4.18. This ratio does not have much room for error, so this is something to keep an eye on.
Davis has a takedown defense at 32 percent and a significant strike defense at 55 percent. She also averages 0.74 takedowns and 0.80 submissions every 15 minutes.
Sabina Mazo (9-1-0)
Mazo is currently on a three fight winning streak heading into this matchup. Her last fight was a submission victory against Justine Kish back in September of 2020.
Her fighting resume shows that she has two wins by knockout, one by submission, and six by decision. She also has two first round finishes resulting from her knockouts.
“Colombian Queen” has a striking accuracy at 46 percent and a grappling accuracy at 100 percent. She lands 7.14 significant strikes a minute and absorbs 4.07. This ratio is great but is also a little on the high side for both averages.
Mazo has a takedown defense at 83 percent and a significant strike defense at 62 percent. She also averages 1.02 takedowns and 0.20 submissions every 15 minutes.

Both fighters appear to be on different strides in their careers. Davis is on a three fight skid while Mazo recently improved to three straight victories after losing a fight a few years back.
Davis has not lost in a bad fashion like a submission or knockout. Her three straight losses have all been unanimous decisions, so she at least takes the fight the distance by not enough to take a victory.
Mazo has taken two fights by decision and her most recent bout was a submission victory. Her numbers have also been greatly out of the four UFC bouts in her resume.
Overall, Mazo appears to have a well rounded resume to land another victory. Look for this one to go the distance.
