Venue: UFC Apex
Watch on: ABC
Kyle Daukaus (10-1-0)
Daukaus is coming off of a unanimous decision victory against Dustin Stoltzfus in November of 2020. This victory was able to put him back on the right track after a previous loss.
His fighting resume shows that he has eight wins by submission and two by decision. He also has three first round finishes, with all of them by submission.
He has a striking accuracy at 59 percent and a grappling accuracy at 41 percent. He lands 3.69 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 2.16. So far, this is a great ratio between the two averages.
Daukaus has a takedown defense at 94 percent and a significant strike defense at 42 percent. He also averages 2.33 takedowns and 1.70 submissions every 15 minutes.
Aliaskhab Khizriev (13-0-0)
Khizriev is currently undefeated and will put it on the line once again. His last battle was a first round submission victory against Henrique Shiguemoto back in September of 2020.
His fighting resume shows a balanced attack of five wins by knockout, four by submission, and four by decision. He also has eight first round finishes with a combination of knockouts and submissions.
He has one fight under his belt that is UFC related, and that was part of Dana White’s Contender Series in the fall of 2020. So he will be making his UFC debut in this matchup.
Khizriev’s last battle was part of the Series matchup. He was able to impress in that one, especially with the fight only lasting 50 seconds in a first round submission showing.

This matchup will be an interesting one to watch since both fighters have great records. Khizriev will be getting a taste of the UFC against a quality fighter in Daukaus.
Khizriev has fought well in other leagues, but one could argue that they are not the same level as the UFC. However, he has shown to be dominant.
Daukaus has one blemish so far on his resume, and that was a unanimous decision loss to Brendan Allen last year. In fact, all three of his UFC fights have been decisions.
Overall, this fight has the potential to make it the distance with a lot of grappling involved. They both have the ability to make it that far, but Khizriev also appears to be the better all around fighter.
