Bellator 208 Handicapping
Alexander Shlemenko vs. Anatoly Tokov
The feature fight that we are handicapping as our free play for Bellator 208 is in the Middleweight Division between Alexander Shlemenko and Anatoly Tokov. This fight is slated for 3x5-minute rounds between two fighters that have a combined 97 pro fights!
Alexander Shlemenko comes into this fight with a 57-11 record and is on a 2 fight losing streak. Shlemenko lost his last fight at M-1 Challenge 93 against Bruno Silva by 1st round KO and lost the fight prior to Gegard Mousasi via unanimous decision. Shlemenko will be looking to get back on the winning path when he faces Anatoly Tokov.
Tokov is 26-3 overall and is a combat sambo specialist. Tokov is riding a 2 fight win streak, both in Bellator and both by finish. His last loss came at the hands of Ramazan Emeev, who is riding a 7 fight win streak and one of the hottest up-and-coming Welterweights in the UFC. Tokov is dangerous, both on the feet and on the ground. He can deliver that one punch KO or he can take you down with his sambo and submit you.
Tokov is the much younger fighter and has a lot less wear-and-tear on his body. Shlemenko's jaw has seen better days and he just isn't the same fighter we seen 5 years ago. Tokov will use distance to frustrate Shlemenko and fight at a distance. I look for Tokov to control the fight and win this one by decision. This will be a 3 unit play at Intertops on Anatoly Tokov -115!
