Within the preliminary card for the next UFC event, there has been a change in one of the fights. You will not be able to check out the women’s bantamweight showdown that will be between Norma Dumont and a last-minute replacement in Erin Blanchfield.
Date: Sat, Apr 10, 11:00 AM
Venue: UFC Apex
Watch on: ESPN
Norma Dumont (5-1-0)
Dumont is coming off of a unanimous decision victory against Ashlee Evans-Smith back in November of 2020. This put her back on the winning side as she had previously dropped the fight before.
Her fighting resume shows that she has two wins by submission and three by decision. Both of her submission victories have resulted in first-round finishes.
“The Immortal” has somewhat mixed stats since she has two UFC fights so far, but she has a striking accuracy at 55 percent and a grappling accuracy at 42 percent. She lands 5.35 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 2.65.
This significant strike ratio, if it continues, would be excellent. However, it is difficult to tell just based on her two UFC fights.
Dumont has a takedown defense at 100 percent and a significant strike defense at 72 percent. She also averages 2.43 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.
Erin Blanchfield (6-1-0)
Blanchfield steps in at the last minute due to a previous dinner having to drop out. She has some momentum with a three-fight winning streak involving a win from each category that dates back to 2019.
Her fighting resume shows that she has a balanced winning effort of two wins by knockout, one by submission, and three by decision. She also has two first-round finishes with a knockout and a submission each.
“Cold Blooded” is only 21 years old and is able to have an opportunity to make a great first impression in the UFC. Indeed, she recently signed a contract to fight, so she will be making her debut in this one.
She has some successful wins on her resume while fighting in Invicta FC. One of those was a current UFC fighter in Kay Hansen, in which she won by majority decision.

Blanchfield has a lot going for her as she prepares for this one. With a solid fight-winning streak and two wins over current UFC fighters, she could make a great case for victory.
Dumont will be a bit of a toss-up if she cannot defend against significant strikes. Her first UFC battle ended quickly with a knockout loss, but she looked great in her most recent battle.
Overall, look for a long-distance fight here. Dumont should be able to show the newcomer a tough fight and be able to win.
