The next UFC event is packed full of excellent fighting matchups and especially betting opportunities. One fight that is going to make an exciting betting experience is the featherweight bout between Luis Saldana and Jordan Griffin.
Date: Sat, Apr 10, 11:00 AM
Venue: UFC Apex
Watch on: ESPN
Luis Saldana (14-6-0)
Saldana is currently on a four-fight winning streak heading into this one. His last battle was a third-round knockout victory against Vince Murdock back in November of 2020.
His fighting resume shows that he has seven wins by knockout and seven by submission. He also has six first-round finishes, with five coming by submission and one by knockout.
He will be making his UFC debut, but this is not the first time he has been associated with the UFC. His last battle against Murdock was a successful victory in the Dana White's Contender Series.
Saldana was able to put up a dominant performance. After two excellent rounds, he was able to handle Murdock accordingly, with several front kicks to the end of the fight.
Jordan Griffin (18-8-0)
Griffin is a bit of a wild card right now with losing three out of his last four battles dating back to 2018. His most recent showing was a unanimous decision loss to Yousseff Zalal back in June of 2020.
His fighting resume shows that he has five wins by knockout, nine by submission, and four by decision. He also has six first-round finishes, with two by knockout and the other four by submission.
“The Native Psycho” has a striking accuracy at 46 percent and a grappling accuracy at 23 percent. He lands 2.60 significant strikes a minute and absorbs 3.18. This ratio is a little bit on the negative side, so he should look to improve this going forward.
Griffin has a takedown defense at 42 percent and a significant strike defense at 48 percent. He also averages 0.78 takedowns and 1.80 submissions every 15 minutes.

Griffin will have to come up with a way to earn back fans' and bettors' trust. Since joining the UFC, he has gone 2-3.
His losses have not been complete beatdowns. Instead, they have been steady matches that have resulted in decisions that have gone the other way by a unanimous outcome.
Saldana, on the other hand, has a great opportunity to impress. His first taste of the UFC resulted in a great performance. With this one, he could look to do the same.
Overall, it will be difficult to tell which version of Griffin shows up. For that, Saldana looks like a solid pick here to end it by submission.
