UFC 236 Feature Handicapping Fight
Our feature fight for UFC 236 from a betting standpoint is in the UFC's Lightweight Division between Matt Frevola and Jalin Turner. This fight is slated for 3 rounds and will serve as the feature fight on the ESPN Prelims.
Matt Frevola is coming into this fight off a majority draw against Lando Vannata at UFC 230. In all reality, he should of recorded his second straight loss as I had him losing 2 out of 3 rounds, as did most others in the industry. Frevola is now 6-1-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the UFC.
Frevola's only other fight in the UFC was a first-round KO at the hands of Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night 124. Frevola has a decent record prior to coming to the UFC but has shown some signs of having a weak chin, getting rattled in both fights. Frevola
Jalin Turner is 8-4 overall and is 1-1 in the UFC. Turner is 23-years old enters this fight off a first-round TKO over Callan Potter at UFC 234. Turner looked really solid in the fight, for the little time that it lasted and is making a quick turnaround, as that fight was just 60-days ago. In the fight prior, Turner made his UFC debut and was KO'd by Welterweight Vicente Luque.
Turner shouldn't have been in that fight and permitting he can continue to make 155lbs, he should remain in the Lightweight Division. That was the only time Turner has fought in the Welterweight Division and I don't think we will ever see him return to that weight class. Turner is very tall for the weight class at 6′ 03″ but he hasn't had issues with making weight and therefore, he should have a height advantage in most fights that he contests in the Lightweight Division.
This fight is between two fighters at different aspects of talent. Turner has pinpoint accuracy with his striking and that is a really bad recipe for Frevola. Frevola's best bet would be to take this fight to the ground but getting there would mean he would have to get close enough to Turner and that sets him up big shots, which has rattled him in the past.
I think that will end really bad for Frevola and look for him to get KO'd late in the 2nd round. Play this as a medium play on Jalin Turner -120.

Other Betting Picks For UFC 236
Max Holloway -204 over Dustin Poirier – Holloway has already lost to Poirier once but that was an entirely different fighter than what we are seeing right now with Max Holloway. Add in the fact that now, Holloway doesn't need to cut much weight, or at least not as much weight as we saw when he was cutting to 145lbs, and he should look phenomenal.
