UFC 250 Betting Breakdown and Prediction: Alex Caceres vs. Chase Hooper – June 6, 2020

by Tyler Vaysman | June 4, 2020 |

Tack another fight to watch on June 6th, in addition to the other fights at the UFC 250 event. This betting opportunity will be a fight between Chase Hooper and Alex Caceres in the prelims.

The Fighters

Chase Hooper (9-0-1)

Hooper is trying to make his mark in the UFC. He just recently had a first round victory over Daniel Teymur in UFC 245. He has 3 wins by knockout, 4 by submission, and 2 by decision.

Combining his wins outside of professional MMA, he is currently on a 14 fight win streak. “The Dream” is living his nickname of fighting in the UFC and looks to take advantage of the opportunity.

There are no current stats available for how he fights, since he is new to the UFC. However, his outcome in his fights shows that he can win in any situation he needs to.

Alex Caceres (15-12-0)

Caceres has been steady in the featherweight division. His resume shows that he has 3 wins by knockout, 5 by submission, and 7 by decision.

“Bruce Leeroy” has a striking accuracy of 49 percent and a grappling accuracy of 75 percent. He lands 3.84 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 2.76. Very solid significant strike ratio here, as he almost delivers 2 more significant strikes than he takes on.

A little weaker on the defensive side, as he averages roughly 60 percent on both his takedown defense and significant strike defense. He also averages 0.56 takedowns and 0.81 submissions every 15 minutes.

Potential Winning Pick

This fight features a newcomer to the UFC in Hooper and a proven track record of Caceres. Both of these guys present great opportunities, but are the odds justified?

Caceres has been on an up and down roller coaster since he started. He has great qualities of striking and grappling. His downfall seems to be defending himself from being submitted and takedowns.

Hooper is very young at 20 years old. He may not have the experience needed to close out a fight, but you can almost throw that out the window because this kid is something else. His fights have shown that he is aggressive in his strikes and submissions.
